What are the most used keyboard shortcuts in PC? I would say Paste ( Ctrl + V) and Copy (Ctrl + C). There are two more keyboard shortcuts that are used by almost every PC user, and that is Undo (Ctrl + Z) and Redo (Ctrl + Y). These keyboard shortcuts come in handy if you are into typing texts on your PC. However, when it comes to Android, we don’t have any such shortcuts available. At least, by default Android does not have any shortcut for Undo and Redo. Though, you can copy and paste the texts in Android, but there is no shortcut to Undo and Redo text in Android.

Undo and Redo Text in Android:

Just because Android doesn’t have an undo and redo shortcuts doesn’t mean you can’t get one. Fortunately, there is an app called Inputting+. The app requires installation and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. After the installation, the app will add two more buttons to your Android keyboard that will allow you to undo or redo text. Well, not exactly to your keyboard, but the options can be accessed via the pull-down slider.  In this post, I will be showing you how to make use of Inputting+ app to undo and redo text in Android.

Undo and Redo Text with Inputting+:

The app Inputting+ is developed by Catching Now. The app is available as a free download in the Google Play Store. The app adds Undo and Redo to your Android phone. Additionally, it also adds Find and replace options as well.

You can also view a Search icon (magnifying glass icon). Tap on it to access the Find and Replace option. Type the text that you want to find in the first box and then type the text that you want to replace in the second box.

Next to the Search icon, you can view a clock icon with an arrow circle known as Inputting Timeline feature. Enabling it will store all the typed text. So, in case, if your app crashes in the middle of typing, you can relaunch the text app and tap the  Inputting+ Timeline to access the last stored text.
